All Acts of Love and Pleasure Are Your Rituals
Well witches, weâve been in the news again â but all press is good press, no?
âRight now, if youâre a left-wing transgender witch, you hate Donald Trump, and youâre going to show up. Youâre energized.â â U.S. Republican Senator Ted Cruz, a recent Fox News interview
Itâs nothing new. The same fascist bullshit, just a new shape & face & time & place.
In 1992 â thirty-plus years ago â Pat Robertson, US televangelist, politician, and Christian right media mogul â penned the words which are likely the only reason any of us witches know his cowardly name. In a fundraising letter seeking support for his opposition to the proposed ERA (Equal Rights Amendment) in Iowa, Robertson lovingly described âthe feminist agendaâ as âa socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians." đđťââď¸ đż
I donât know whether to laugh or to cry. When our identities are attacked â in times of persecution, in times of surveillance, in times of fascism â we feel it in our bones. We worry for ourselves, our loved ones, and our communities. We worry about one another.
All I know is this: they feel our threat & know our strength. It doesnât mean they can take it from us.
Write your own story and sing your own songs.
Sending our American witch friends love, magic, and solidarity for midterms.
New Season of the Missing Witches Podcast
The Fall 2026 Season of the Missing Witches podcast has hit airwaves and is packed with stories of magical resistance, past and present.
EP 305 WF Tom Benjamin - Taking Your Magic Back Is An Act Of Resistance
In this Witches Found conversation, on our sweet little witchy podcast of love, Risa sits down with Tom to talk about his book The Modern Fortune Tellerâs Field Guide, and about what it means to practice divination in a world that can feel increasingly difficult to read.

Ep 306 MW Queen Himiko - The Sacred Was Entangled With Survival
We don't know exactly where her kingdom of Yamatai was. But whether we imagine her among the sacred mountains of the Nara basin or in the maritime ritual landscape of northern Kyushu, Himiko opens a strange and compelling question about women, magic and power.

EP 307 WF Kim Kitchen - There's No Such Thing As Far Away
In this Witches Found Episode, Risa shares a conversation with a crone, witch mother, artist and activist she met on her writing and research trip to Northern Ontario this past spring. Full Moon in Taurus & Coven Vibe Check
This past Friday, the ď¸Sun entered âđŚ Scorpio
& the upcoming week kicks off with a đ Full Moon in âđ Taurus.
Scorpio is a Water Sign, ruled by Pluto and Mars. Taurus is an Earth Sign, Ruled by Venus.
Our Weavers Coven Priestess of the Moon, Zoe Flowers has a great write-up on this water-earth energy in the event description for our upcoming Weavers Full Moon Ritual on Monday October 26th at 8pm EST.
Weâre co-creating a circle together in the spirit of Earth and Water, Taurus and Scorpio, and Zoe will lead us in candle burning ritual to turn inward, remove personal blockages, and âground ourselves in what we need to feel more comfortable secure, and sensorial.â
All Acts of Love and Pleasure Are Your Rituals
Working with the Charge of the Goddess & other Pagan Prayers
The Charge of the Goddess and the many re-imaginings of this somewhat canonical Wiccan text keeps coming up in our circles. Sometimes you just need some common ground to stand on, yâknow? & you donât want to take something that isnât yours for the taking. Traditionalists aside, these texts are a safe place to begin and borrow from. Especially if you â like us in the Missing Witches Coven â are feeling your way to your own understanding of witchcraft.
What is it?
The Charge of the Goddess is a poetic âprayerâ used by witches to call on the goddess and the moon, or just connect with the energy of these forces. Its history is complex â but it has some of its roots in Charles Godfrey Lelandâs Aradia or the Gospel of the Witches. In this âproto-Chargeâ the goddess Aradia addresses her followers and instructs them in her worship. Gerald Gardner adapted Lelandâs work in his writing of Wiccan texts, adding to the proto-charge elements of the Priestess Speech from Alleister Crowleyâs Gnostic Mass. Doreen Valiente, known as the Mother of Modern Witchcraft, adapted this into something more poetic. The version most easily encountered today is authored by Starhawk, an adaptation of Valiente, though there's sure to be contributions and influences woven throughout it.
Itâs just so juicy â just listen to these lines! The Charge may be a Lunar themed piece, it definitely has big Venus Energy.
âI am the beauty of the green earth and the white moon amongst the stars.â
âAll acts of love and pleasure are my rituals.â
âFor My Law is love unto all beings.â
âLet there be beauty and strength, power and compassion, honor and humility, mirth and reverence within you.â
âFor behold, I have been with you from the beginning, and I am That which is attained at the end of desire.â
Coven member Ashe recently shared with us Laura Tempest Zakroffâs Charge of New Aradia which we also love and had a lot of fun reading together in call and response at our recent New Moon in Libra coven-wide ritual. The Charge of New Aradia is part of a call âacross traditions, genders, colours, creeds, ages, and abilitiesâ to stand up for what you believe in, and protect and empower all who need it.
âNow is the time to heed the call. Witches together one and all. In our truth, we know the power, that our voice brings down the tower.â
Meanwhile, inside the Coven...
This is the sort of conversation that happens inside the Missing Witches Coven all the time: members bringing their own decks, ideas, questions, scholarship, weirdness, experiences, and half-formed thoughts into the room and seeing what happens when other witches pick them up.
The RX gives you a little taste.
The Coven is where we get to actually do the thing together.
What's New?
A New Offering for Weavers Members
Weâre excited to announce a new Weavers-only offering.

Our first Witch-crafting in the Kiln event takes place on Friday October 30th from 2-430-pm EST/ 11-1:30pm EST// 5-7:30pm UK.
(Weâre hoping this timeslot will make the space more accessible to members in timezones outside of North America.)
Witch-crafting in the Kiln is a once a month meet-up for Weavers to connect, share, and create together â whether in collaboration or in parallel-play. Join us on the last Friday of every month 2-3:30pm EST. Bring your journals, art supplies, tarot decks, hand crafts, altars, candle-spells, drinks, snacks, and whatever else you need to get comfy and creative. We will tend to our crafts alongside one another for just under two hours and connect with one another while we explore our creativity.
These 1.5 hour sessions will consist ofâŚ
- an opening circle with brief check-ins about what weâre going to work in the Kiln that day. We will offer a basic prompt or activity suggestion for those who need somewhere to start that responds to the seasonal theme of the Kiln. The theme from Oct. 30th - Jan 30th 2027 is MANIFESTO. More details on the theme to come soon.
- co-working/body-doubling/parallel play
- in the last 30 minutes, we will have an open mic for checking in about the session and your practice, and a simple close to the circle.
These once-a-month witch-crafting sessions will feed the creative well being of our community and their projects. They will also provide the time, space, and support to feed the fire of the Weavers Kiln!
Whatâs the Kiln?
Launched in early 2026, The Kiln is a Weavers only space for art-making, support, and collaboration. A place for heat, pressure, attention, and transformationâa container where work doesnât have to be finished or polished.
In the weaverâs Kiln we gather and collaborate around a shared seasonal theme, sit with it together, stitch it forward, and let something collective take shape over time. Respond in whatever shapes come: poems, short essays, collages, drawings, sigils, songs, video art, performances, rituals, quotes, fragments. Scholarly or devotional. Fierce or quiet. Complete or still becoming.
At the end of the season, the material that emerges from the Kiln is gathered into a special seasonal issue of the Missing Witches Zine. Check out our first three issues of the Kiln for inspiration.
A little more magic, together
One of the things we're most interested in at Missing Witches is what happens when witchcraft stops being something we consume alone and becomes something we think about, question, practice, and make together.
The Coven is our living space for that.
There are conversations about magic and history, tarot and astrology, ritual and culture. There are co-learning sessions, seasonal gatherings, small groups, member-led conversations, and plenty of opportunities to wander down an unexpected rabbit hole with people who are delighted you brought it.
You don't have to know what you're doing before you arrive, you don't have to call yourself a witch. You just have to be curious enough to come through the door.
And we'll be there cheering, Welcome Home!
Blessed fucking be.
â Risa & Amy & the Crones of the Missing Witches Coven!
