This week, Risa is off to camp with her family for five days of music and collective dreaming. They’ll stay up late dancing under the stars to Elisapie, Waxahatchee, and Basia Bulat — gathering in the wave of people who choose, for one long weekend, to sleep in a park and listen to music together.
They’re headed to Mariposa, the original Canadian folk festival — a gathering rooted in resistance music and traditional folkways, and the birthplace of a beautiful format: artists from different cultures and traditions coming together to share songs on small stages, improvising around themes, co-creating something bigger.
Maybe we can find guidance here — in the rhythms of festivals, in traditions of resistance music, in the kinds of spellcasting that conjure better possible worlds out of chaos.
May we share our hopes and dreams,
May we listen to one another like musicians improvising live, trusting the moment, trusting each other, in front of thousands of hopeful dreamers.
Share a piece of yourself and lend your voice to someone else’s song.
Play. Rest. Dream wildly.
Root into your most sacred beliefs about how good the world could be.

🌕 Coming Up: Full Moon Circle for Weavers
A Ritual of Rewilding and Remembering
This full moon, we’re gathering to meet our wild kin and pull the edges of the wild world back together with a pathworking and ritual co-created by Risa and Amy, co-founders of the Missing Witches coven.
Expect grounding, imagination, and magic. A call to return to the sacred animal, the whispering leaf, the storm-drenched soil of your own wild self. Let’s reweave what has been torn.
🌀 This is a Weavers-only circle. If you’ve been looking for a sign to join us — maybe this is it.

This cauldron circle ritual invites you to bring something to enhance our community — or something you wish to release (internalized ableism, stigma, etc).
We’ll create disabled/neurodivergent/chronically ill magick together, acknowledging:
The revolution will be disabled. It will be intersectional. It will be witchy AF.
🧠 Everyone is welcome to speak, stim, sing, dance, meditate, lie on the floor, knit, snack — or simply be. Let's share space in disabled bliss and unconditional love.
