The US midterms earlier this week have feelings of hope surging through us and our online spaces. Across our coven we’re celebrating wins and the hard work of so many but also doing our best not to give in to toxic positivity, complacency, or declare that we’ve won this war.
Optimism is crucial and brutal.
At the same time…
“THE ONLY WAR THAT MATTERS IS THE WAR AGAINST THE IMAGINATION. ALL OTHER WARS ARE SUBSUMED IN IT”
- High Priestess of Poetry, Diane di Prima
Days before the midterms – just last weekend over Samhain – we tricked and treated, lit candles for ancestors and other beloveds, and braced ourselves for another harsh season.
And now – we're offered this glimmer.
A light in the dark, fuel to toss in the cauldron, to keep the fires burning throughout the storms. As we watch it all break down, de-compose, burn up and transform – I'm thinking about the words of our beloved coven mate Ashe in their recent Sparks discussion post inside our coven circle:
"How are your molecules changing? How are you re-arranging?"
How will you dig in and go deep?

Last Episode of the Fall 2026 Season of the Missing Witches Podcast
EP 312 SAMHAIN 2026: CONFLUENCE!!! with Casey Zabala, Edgar Fabian Frias, Eliza Swann, and Sanyu Estelle
For Halloween aka Samhain aka the halfway point between the Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice, Amy is joined by a CONFLUENCE of Witches: Casey Zabala, Edgar Fabian Frias, Eliza Swann, and Sanyu Estelle.
This panel was inspired by an extraordinary book of essays, a modern witches anthology, that Casey compiled and edited called A Confluence of Witches. All of today's guests contributed essays to what has become, for Amy, an indispensable resource as for navigating a world of magic and witchcrafters.
She asked the group their thoughts on what the state of Witchcraft might look like in 2027, and they were oracles all. But as Eliza pointed out, "It's a river of voices that makes the oracular statement." Together we form a confluence, a constellation, and a coalition!!!
Meanwhile, inside the Coven...
Missing Witches is a diverse, non-dogmatic online coven and witchcraft community for people seeking magical practice, ritual, learning, and belonging in an inclusive, values-led space.
Members join from around the world to attend virtual gatherings, access recorded, co-created classes and rituals, and build real friendships in community.
Our coven is trans-inclusive, anti-racist, feminist as hell, welcoming to men, pro-science, anti-ableist, and utterly full of love and awe.
We care deeply about creating a safer, braver community space, and you can read our community covenant and guidelines here.
If you have been searching for a place to explore a nature based spirituality grounded in collective resistance and care we made this space for you!
The RX gives you a little taste of this magick.
The Coven is where we get to actually do the thing together.
Sparks! ✨A new way to learn together
Sparks are prompts and questions designed to facilitate discussion and interaction in our online coven space. Think of these as casual come-as-you-are invitations, little sparks that will grow into a warm flame. We cover things like New & Full Moons and their astrology; The Wheel of the Year, post-ritual processing, and other topics in magic, culture, and justice.
🌚♏️🦂 New Moon in Scorpio
How are your molecules rearranging? Content by covenmate Ashe ✨
The moon is fading again, as it always must. And as it must always grow again. 🌀
The new moon in Scorpio 🌚♏️🦂 is heading our way, full of mystery and secrets.
It’s Scorpio, so we’re gonna go deep. 🌊 🌊 🌊
Scorpio is associated with the planets Mars and Pluto, tying it to both our willpower and desire and our transformation. It’s this latter thread I want to pull on, because Scorpio is also associated with Tarot card XII, Death. The scorpion also appears on the Smith-Rider-Waite Moon card. Who better to guide us through the watery mysteries of the moon than the archetypal psychopomp?
Our upcoming New Moon in Scorpio ritual is a lantern for the GoddETC, the illuminating spirit to guide us through the dark.
Join us as we make an offering and commit to not turning back. There will be music, spell-casting, and contributions from the creative and highly magical Weavers members of our coven. 🕸️
Make Magic with Big Hat Witches.
Coven Events Spotlight
Plantkin - All about St Hildegard of Bingen! (with Sydnee)
Saturday, November 14th, 6-8pm EST, 7-9pm Atlantic, 3-5pm PST
Plantkin is a monthly session hosted by coven mate Jasmin and a rotating cast of co-hosts. This time around, our beloved Sydnee will be speaking about St. Hildegard of Bingen (She is the “Flourish” card in the MW Deck of Oracles.)
At this special meet-up, we will listen and learn all about St Hildegard and her connection to plants - perhaps her spirit will uplift us as we prepare for winter in the northern hemisphere and say goodbye to our outdoor gardening.
Saturday, November 14th, 6-8pm EST, 7-9pm Atlantic, 3-5pm PST
All are welcome to contribute, vibe, and enjoy the love of all things green and growing! This meeting will be recorded and shared with the coven :)

A little more magic, together
One of the things we're most interested in at Missing Witches is what happens when witchcraft stops being something we consume alone and becomes something we think about, question, practice, and make together.
The Coven is our living space for that.
You don't have to know what you're doing before you arrive, you don't have to call yourself a witch. You just have to be curious enough to come through the door.
And we'll be there cheering, Welcome Home!
Blessed fucking be.
