This week’s work gathers threads we’ve been spinning for a long time.
What is a witch? What is a coven? What do we mean when we say craft—not as an aesthetic, but as a practice shaped by history, resistance, care, and community?
We’ve been hacking and stitching away, quietly building living documents that hold these questions open. They're not declarations. They're compost. They're meant to be returned to (by us and you), argued with, expanded, and braided with the voices of hundreds of witches and magical people who’ve spoken with us over the years.
This Rx. is an invitation to wander those pages, hang out in the unraveling words, and in the cauldron we make between our ears.
Reflection
A coven is not a performance.
A witch is not a brand.
Our understanding of witchcraft has always been relational—rooted in shared meals, shared risks, shared grief, shared laughter. It changes as we change. It deepens as we listen better, as we attune ourselves.
The pages we’re sharing this week reflect that ongoing inquiry:
- What Is a Coven? What Is a Witch? - an evolving map of how we understand this craft—drawing from history, lived experience, and a vast archive of podcast conversations. It’s dense by design, meant to be returned to over time.
- What to Expect at a Missing Witches Coven Meeting tweaked to offer alittle more clarity around our circles: how we gather, what we do, and what we do not do. No fixing. No pressure to perform.
And because this season can sharpen loneliness, we’ve also gathered practices for those moving through winter on our own:
- Christmas and New Year Rituals for Witches Who Feel Alone gathers some simple, grounded rituals for staying present with yourself, with grief, with quiet joy, with survival.
Prescription
- Go slow. Be cozy. Treat your inner child.
- Dip into these pages if they call to you, and follow the threads to old podcast episodes. Let voices from the archive keep you company.
- Choose one small ritual, let that be enough.
And if you want a familiar voice in the room:
- Get cozy and listen to the annual Missing Witches Yuletide Special (2025)—a long-standing tradition of stories, poems, Witch carols, and gentle company at the turning of the year.
Join the Coven
If these pages feel like home—or like a doorway—you’re welcome in the coven. Our circles are ongoing, imperfect, and held with care. You can join at a level that works for you, come when you can, and take what you need.

Let’s welcome new members, celebrate anyone who’s had a birthday this month, drink cozy things out of cute mugs, hang out, craft, and chat witchcraft. A low-pressure, warm-hearted gathering to start the year in company.
Closing Blessing
May you find language for what you’ve always known.
May you feel the unseen hands at your back.
May this season remind you that solitude is not the same as loneliness, and that the coven can stretch across spacetime.
We’re glad you’re here.
