Magical witch friends of the world,
As we approach the Summer Solstice, I hope you can feel the green world breathing around you. Here on the lake in June, everything's bursting and damp and humming. Ferns unfurl. Loons call across the water. Every morning arrives carrying a little more light than the one before.
We wrapped our Reparations Season and Amy immediately jumped on a plane to Rome with her love to tell the old gods all about it. (She took an offering to Isis and out of nowhere all these small black cats appeared. Typical. 😂 🧙🏼♀️)
This year was our most gloriously successful fundraiser yet, and we're still in the afterglow of love and gratitude.
Together we raised $16,836, with $4,832 going directly to our local Native Women's Shelter.
What made this year feel especially magical was that, more than ever, we didn't do it alone. (Though Amy Torok remains the ringleader of this whole project and our forever heroine.)
Our beloved covenmate and friend Amy Miranda, along with her production company Lunch, donated huge amounts of time, energy, and experience to help lift our planning and promotion. We're weepy thankful. It's bonkers cool beyond our wild dreams to get to work with magical friends who are also absolute wizards at making shit happen in the material world.
Our whole coven surrounded this project with love. Members donated incredible prizes, found organizations in their own communities to support, and even ran their own fundraisers, offering readings and witchcrafts for repair.
This year we also reached out to many past podcast guests with an invitation to get involved, and we were blown away by the prizes they sponsored and the enthusiasm they brought to the work.
In all, it feels like a wave we're still riding.
And if you close your eyes and breathe into this moment, I hope you'll feel that wave building through the screen, rising and washing over you. You're part of a community that cares. A community that moves the world with action and magic and love. A wave that's been building year after year.
Breathe.
And remember, waves pull back, too.
The world sings to us of cycles, in cycles. As we approach the Solstice, feel into where you are in your own sweet spirals. Honour what needs rest. Honour what needs time to grow. Notice what's blooming, what feels riotous and hearty and proud. Notice what's still underground, gathering strength in the dark.
For this New Moon weekend, building to this coming Solstice, we invite you to look not only at what's blooming in your own life, but at what's blooming because it's been tended collectively. Let's imagine the solar punk garden utopia of non-fucked futures and celebrate each tendril of evidence that it arrives.
What relationships are stronger because they've been nourished? What projects are thriving because others carried part of the load? What communities are flowering because many hands watered them? What changes are you able to make now because you know in yor bones you are Not Alone.
We're taught so often to look for individual transformation and mythical bootstraps, but witchcraft keeps reminding us that abundance is relational, the soil abounds with life all dancing. We grow each other.
Prescription
Take a few minutes this week to make a list of things that are blooming around you.
Not accomplishments. Not goals.
Blooms.
Friendships. Gardens. Skills. Traditions. Tiny habits. A breath the goes just a little deeper. Communities. Dreams. Acts of repair. Things that seemed impossible a year ago and now appear on the horizon because we all kept showing up.
Not toxic positivity, just breathing room for believing.
Join us in sending a wave of thanks to every visible and invisible hand that helps bring them into being.

Featured Event
New Moon Circle — Tomorrow
Join your coven tomorrow as we step into garden magic, explore the visionary work of Hildegarde von Bingen, especially her writing about The Greenness, and craft our own visionary futures.
Led by Risa, Sydnee, and Jasmin, this gathering will invite us to conjure illuminated manuscripts, drawing on the potent magic of the blooming garden.
Bring a plant - either in person or an image or a name - and your journal—or a beautiful piece of paper—and something colourful to write or draw with. Together we'll listen for what wants to grow and give form to the dreams beginning to blossom beneath this dark breath the moon takes with us before midsummer.
Until then, may the green world remind you that growth isn't linear, rest is part of every song and cycle, and nobody blooms alone.
With love,
Risa & Amy
